Sorry this is a day late, but I couldn’t let the 108th birthday of America’s oldest living World War I veteran pass without notice.
Frank Buckles, of Charles Town, W. Va. reached the milestone yesterday. Buckles was honored by then-President George W. Bush at the White House last hear and feted by the Pentagon as “our last living link’’ to the “Great War,” also known as “the war to end all wars.’’
