Blogger’s goodbye: Going back to the world

Vietnam vets once referred to the end of their tours of duty and return to civilian lives as “going back to the world,” one of the many things I have learned while covering veterans affairs and breaking news for The Journal News/LoHud.com.
Now it’s time for me to go back to the world – in my case, leaving The Journal News to pursue my interest in covering national religion news and regional trend stories.
Many thanks to my colleagues and sources for all their assistance, especially with my Return to Vietnam project and launching the At Ease! blog. From now on, please send information about Lower Hudson Valley veterans events and issues to At Ease! bloggers Rich Liebson (rliebson@lohud.com) and Hema Easley (heasley@lohud.com).
Goodbye, and good luck.

Wishing you the best in your new endeavors; sorry to see you go, especially as I’ve only now come upon your very fine work here. All the best—and thanks for your work on veterans issues.
