The Ladies Auxiliary of Brewster VFW Post 672 is sending “pocket flags” to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to boost morale and show soldiers that they’re in the hearts and prayers of folks back home.
The auxiliary is seeking donations to buy small U.S. Flags that soldiers can carry in their pockets.
They’re also seeking volunteers to fold and package the flags from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on May 14 at the VFW Post, located at 262 Peaceable Hill Road in Brewster. Pizza and beverages will be served.
Donations can be made to Brewster VFW Post 672, Laadies Auxiliary, 262
