If you’re a combat veteran living with a non-veteran spouse/significant other, maybe you can help an Ossining High School student with her science project.
Ilana Rice, an OHS junior and member of the school’s Fundamentals of Science Research Program, is working on a project she hopes will lead to better methods of treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The teenager needs participants to complete her questionnaire who:
-Are between the ages of 18 and 55;
-Have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq), Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Desert Storm (the first Persian Gulf War), the Vietnam War or the Korean War;
-Are currently married to or cohabiting with a non-veteran romantic partner
If you fit the criteria, know anyone who does or know anyone who may be able to assist in recruiting participants, e-mail Rice at IRice@osshs.lhric.org, or contact OHS teachers Angelo Piccirillo or Valerie Holmes at (914) 762-5760, ext. 347.

Hi,
My husband is a Marine who fits the criteria for your survey. I have discussed your survey with him and he is willing to answer some questions. If you would like to forward your survey to the enclosed email address we’ll work on filling it out.
Thank you for your interest in our lives and how we function.
Karley Carpenter,
wife of Sgt. Jason Carpenter, USMC
I am a Marine who would fit your requirements, as a Viet Nam Vet who served in the Tet Ofensive.
Feel free to contact me.
